It is dating from long ago, in my early childhood, the birth of this interest for carving.
A pocket knife and a piece of wood, that’s all I needed to shape, reproduce, invent from what’s around me.
This genuine appeal has been well served by a favourable environment, allowing me to develop my skills for carving.
This favourable environment especially means being lucky enough to work as apprentice at the Atelier Paré workshop, a woodcarving shop in Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré, Qc, in the beginning of the 80’s.
It is under the supervision of Alphonse Paré, Master Sculptor, graduated from the Québec’s Fine Arts School that I acquired the essence of my training.
The rest is a matter of time, curiosity, observation, thinking and…passion!
